THE WONDER PLANT CALLED 'MORINGA'

          

I badly wanted to know why exactly this plant had come into my house and has taken over the place of our conventional beverages. There is virtually no home you enter now that has an adult that you wouldn’t find this Moringa plant; literary speaking. It shocked me to know that this plant can treat well over 200 diseases of which i could only list a few         

          Moringa is a plant that is native to the sub-Himalayan areas of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. It is also grown in the tropics. The leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, seeds, and root are used to make medicine.

Ever Loved someone so much that it seems no matter what they do you don't love them less?
Well, I have.
      I fell in love with this person one time, and He didn't treat me right. He loved someone else more than he loved me - and he always said it. So Basically, I was the 'spare' - The one he used to keep warm because his 'love' was in another university.
     There was this one time. I went to Visit him in His Hostel, and just when I was approaching his room, a girl (who'd I call AB) was leaving.
  He said she was just a friend. I believed. Why would he lie? Afterall sincere enough to tell me about the other girl in another school.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make a Lemonade

Exams were to start in three days. Dayo Had just finished Revising the course he was to write first, when his hostel mates started calling those interested in Playing football to come down to the field. Dayo, quickly ran downstairs, He felt football after three hours of intense reading was a good way to relax.

Few minutes after the second Half, Dayo noticed that an opponent had dribbled his players, leaving him and a teammate who was playing defense.  Much to his dismay, his opponent successfully passed his defender and sent the ball straight to the goal post, in other to save the goal, Dayo had to perform a stunt which required him to dive and stretch.
He caught the ball successfully and fell on his right hand. Trying to stand up he heard a cracking sound from his right hand and he screamed.

MY BAKING RECIPIE

          Whoever said baking was hard, buhu!

          I come from a very industrious family. I have a civil engineer dad who has virtually ventured into almost all other branches of his field, great with electrical works and repairs, creative with steel and wood, and did I mention he is a fantastic cook? On the other hand, is my mom ; a Nurse who bakes, a great event manager and a terrific cook. Then again, there are my siblings; my brother and my sister. My brother, a diplomat turned model, slash event planner, slash baker, slash crowd puller (if that counts as anything....lol). My sister... it’s so hard to actually pin point anything. She virtually can do anything so long she sees it at all. Name it, hair making, nails fixing, ‘minor’ electrical works, baking, great experimental cooking, the list goes on and on.

HELP FOR THE ORPHAN CHILD

          I have been so unease with myself since I left the children. I couldn’t touch anything. I felt guilty extending a hand shake. All I wanted to do was get home and wash up. I really don’t  mean to sound the way I am sounding but I’m sure when I’m done with this write up you would understand why I said what I have said.

            The above information, are my personal data. All my life, I had always had a reason not to love who I am. Somehow, somewhere along the line, the big man up above finally looked down below at me. Up until now, I didn’t fully understand what grace was all about. Grace is an unmerited favour from God. This was basically all I understood grace to be. They say you never know the value of something until you lose it. My life up to this point has been a function of God’s grace right up till now, where it all ended.

4 MONTHS, 2 WEEKS

As a last minute choice, I anchored a luncheon. Something I never imagined I could ever do being that I am the shy type. Something was different that day. I had never let go as I did that day. I moved from table to table chatting and relating with guest seated. Voila! There she was...such confidence. I hadn’t talked to anyone so free and confident since the day started. I was mesmerized. SHE WAS DAMN PRETTY!

CHANGING THE RULES

          As a BBM(blackberry messenger) tradition, you give your contacts weeks in advance update of your birthday via your PM(personal message). When it is a day to the day, it becomes hourly update in form of a countdown to the day. When the twelfth hour finally comes, your PM is then updated to things like ‘it’s my birthday!’ ‘thank God for adding another year to my life’ and so on...all to make it known to your contacts that it is your big day.

Lemongrass, an everyday  common ‘weed’ is shockingly more than just the weed we see it as.

Overview: Lemon grass is a tender perennial herb, which is native to India and Sri Lanka. Lemon grass, with its lemony flavor and aroma, is used extensively in Asian-style cooking. Both the large, grassy leaves and the bulbous leaf base can be added to recipes. The commercially produced essential oil is used as both a food flavoring and a cosmetic ingredient.

Latin Name: Cymbopogon citratus.

Common Name: Lemon Grass.

Zones: This tropical plant is hardy in USDA Zones 9-10.

Mature Size: Mature plants can grow up to 5 feet tall by 3 feet wide.

Sun Exposure: Full sun in well-drained soil. Lemon grass does best when grown in moist soil in a moderately humid environment.
