THE WONDER PLANT CALLED 'MORINGA'

          

I badly wanted to know why exactly this plant had come into my house and has taken over the place of our conventional beverages. There is virtually no home you enter now that has an adult that you wouldn’t find this Moringa plant; literary speaking. It shocked me to know that this plant can treat well over 200 diseases of which i could only list a few         

          Moringa is a plant that is native to the sub-Himalayan areas of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. It is also grown in the tropics. The leaves, bark, flowers, fruit, seeds, and root are used to make medicine.

Lemongrass, an everyday  common ‘weed’ is shockingly more than just the weed we see it as.

Overview: Lemon grass is a tender perennial herb, which is native to India and Sri Lanka. Lemon grass, with its lemony flavor and aroma, is used extensively in Asian-style cooking. Both the large, grassy leaves and the bulbous leaf base can be added to recipes. The commercially produced essential oil is used as both a food flavoring and a cosmetic ingredient.

Latin Name: Cymbopogon citratus.

Common Name: Lemon Grass.

Zones: This tropical plant is hardy in USDA Zones 9-10.

Mature Size: Mature plants can grow up to 5 feet tall by 3 feet wide.

Sun Exposure: Full sun in well-drained soil. Lemon grass does best when grown in moist soil in a moderately humid environment.
